Good news! Our blog has been nominated for the best educational resource devoted to academic writing of 2013.
If there’s any subject that has a million easy topics to write about, it most certainly is psychology. Today, more than ever, society has found a way to nourish our somewhat debilitated genetic systems by correcting them with SSRI’s. Millions of people go to therapy to try to finally address their problems—of all kinds, and millions of kids are being diagnosed with conditions like Attention Deficit Disorder, Hyperactivity disorder, depression, and self-esteem issues. Eating disorders among teens are still rampant as well, with many teens, especially girls in body-conscious sports like ballet or gymnastics, becoming obsessed with keeping their weight low. Not eating and performing these kinds of sports seems impossible, but they do it every day for years.
To find great psychology paper topics, one great tactic for coming up with ideas is Google searches. Search for new treatments in eating disorders or “sports and eating disorders” if you’re interested in that. Also, you can Google things like “top ten mental disorders diagnosed today among adults” and then research “top ten mental disorders diagnosed today among teens” and then research what pops up for both of these.
Your psychology textbook for this class will be a wonderful tool for coming up with topics. Look at the chapters your professor is focusing on in school, for example chapters 3-5, and then look in these chapters about all the psychology topics you’ve been discussing in class. First however, you’ll want to ask your instructor if you can or cannot go beyond your textbook for writing topics. If they say yes, then you can begin looking at your favorites for inspiration.
