Good news! Our blog has been nominated for the best educational resource devoted to academic writing of 2013.
If you have a research paper to write on medical sociology, you may not have a clue as to what issue to investigate, let alone know how to find a real winner of a topic! Well, hopefully I can be of some help.
It’s important to choose a subject that you are interested in, as passion always comes across in writing; which will therefore engage the reader more. At the same time, this is an academic, unbiased essay you need to write, so you must equally ascertain that all the appropriate research can be made. You’ll need to provide plenty of sources to back up your claims. If you can find a subject that fits these first two criteria, you’ll certainly be heading in the right direction.
Next, you need to narrow the subject down into a specific point of interest. The more focused, succinct and clear you can be throughout, the better.
If you can look at a subject from a unique point of view as well, that will be another feather in your cap!
Still don’t know where to start? Well here are some great topics to get you thinking:
They are just a few examples to whet your appetite, but I’m afraid I can’t actually give you the topic title you’re in need of- that’s up to you to decide upon!
If you need some more ideas, then check out your campus library for past student essays. There will be an array of different ones available. Spend some time seeing which subjects have been chosen- and which ones received good marks! If you don’t know where to locate these, then just ask your librarian- they’ll be pleased to help.
You can also find lists of topic ideas online, and if you don’t have internet access at home, remember you can still get online at libraries!
